The Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) on Monday, November 1, bought 180,000 MT of wheat from Russia for December 11-20 shipment:

  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Agro AST at 363.83 $/mt c&f (331.90 fob+31.93 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Posco at 364.48 $/mt c&f (332.55 fob+31.93 freight);
  • 60,000 MT of Russian wheat from Solaris at 364.48 $/mt c&f (332.55 fob+31.93 freight).

GASC has bought so far a total 2,865,000 MT of wheat (950,000 MT from Russia, 1,260,000 MT from Romania, and 655,000 MT from Ukraine) for supply in 2021/22 (July-June).

Traders said the following offers were submitted to GASC in the first round of the tender:

  • GTCS: 55,000 MT of Russian wheat at 337.37 $/mt fob
  • Cargill: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 340.99 $/mt fob
  • ADM: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 337 $/mt fob
  • Grain Export: 60,000 MT of Romanian wheat at 340 $/mt fob
  • Solaris: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 332.86 $/mt fob
  • Agro AST: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 331.90 $/mt fob
  • Posco International: 60,000 MT of Russian wheat at 332.80 $/mt fob
